You are very welcome to visit the Niederegger Marzipan Salon, our museum on the second floor of Café Niederegger.
The Marzipan Salon takes the visitor on a long journey through time tracing the almond speciality’s centuries of history, from its oriental beginnings to its arrival in the Hanseatic city on the Trave.
The biggest draws in the Marzipan Salon are no doubt the twelve life-size personalities made of marzipan: ranging from Hans Jakob Christoffel von Grimmelshausen to Thomas Mann to Wolfgang Joop, all of them fans of the famous Niederegger marzipan.
Experience the Marzipan Salon, which tells you a bit of the legend of how marzipan came to be, recounts for you the history of the Niederegger marzipan company and presents a wonderful film about the Niederegger marzipan production.
