Lübeck’s secret symbol

Café Niederegger has been a Lübeck institution for many years. In 1806 it was founded by master confectioner Johann Georg Niederegger. He helped the company to gain the fame that Niederegger marzipan still enjoys today.

In the now more than 200 years since its founding, Café Niederegger, in the heart of the Hanseatic city, has become a secret symbol of Lübeck. Enjoy the cosy atmosphere in “Treffpunkt mit Tradition” (Meeting Place with Tradition) with one of our creative ice cream creations or the famous Niederegger nut cake.

In summer, we open up our market terrace with its wonderful view of the Town Hall, St. Marien and St. Petri.
