Aromatic premium-quality almonds are the most important raw ingredient in the production of Niederegger marzipan. Kissed by the sun, our almonds have a characteristic sweet nutty flavour. For generations, we have been heating the almond mixture in roasting boilers over an open fire. This method releases the unique aroma for which our marzipan is famous the world over.
In addition to producing the world-famous Niederegger marzipan, Johann Georg Niederegger put his confectionery skills to the manufacture of exquisite nougat. To this day, Niederegger nougat is known for its creamy, melt-in-the-mouth consistency and intense flavour.
To this day, our Niederegger pralines and chocolate bars are still made in Lübeck to the traditional recipes. Created from a perfect blend of ingredients, Niederegger pralines consist of creamy fillings coated with crisp dark or smooth whole milk chocolate. Here too, we take care to use only high-quality raw ingredients.
